In March 1957, James M. Burns opened Maternity BVM Credit Union in the basement of the church rectory. The Credit Union was only open after the Masses on Sunday.

The original Board of Directors were:

Rev. Joseph Donahue CSV, who was instrumental in the formation of the Credit Union

In December 1973, the Credit Union moved to 299 E. Marsile Street, where it remains at this time. The Credit Union bought the original Senesac Home built in 1900 on the corner of Roy & Marsile Street in Bourbonnais in 1979 from Leon A. Blanchette. For a period of time this home served as the original Senesac Funeral Home.

1974, the Credit Union become more accessible to the members and was open in the afternoons (after Mr. Burns finished his full time job with the US Postal Service). The Credit Union was also open in the evenings by appointment only for those members who were working in the afternoon.

Mr. Burns retired as Manager/Treasurer in 1983. At that time the Credit Union employed a full time Manager/Treasurer and began regular daytime hours Monday thru Friday and Saturday mornings till noon.

In 2000 Maternity BVM Credit Union completely remodeled and updated.

The Board of Directors continue to make improvements in services offered to the members.
